2020 Fender Custom Shop '62 Stratocaster Heavy Relic • Olympic White over Dakota Red • AAA Rosewood • 3,49 kg

2020 Fender Custom Shop '62 Stratocaster Heavy Relic • Olympic White over Dakota Red • AAA Rosewood • 3.49 kg

Freshly arrived and an absolute dream for Strat connoisseurs:
Here we have an incredibly cool Heavy Relic Stratocaster featuring two of the most sought-after custom colors of the sixties in a legendary color-over-color finish. If you are looking for a Strat with authentic vintage vibe and an outstanding tone, you will definitely find it here!

The Highlights of this Strat:

• The Look: The color-over-color nitro finish has been masterfully aged by the Custom Shop. Beautiful, fine weather checking, perfectly placed play wear, and the characteristically faded 3-ply "greenish" pickguard give this guitar the aura of a true Pre-CBS treasure from the sixties. The Dakota Red shimmering through beneath the patinated Olympic White is an absolute eye-catcher.
• The Neck: A dream of a fretboard! Deep dark AAA rosewood ("sorted for dark RW") on a stable riftsawn maple neck. The super comfortable '60s style Oval "C" profile sits perfectly in the hand – fleshy enough for a fat tone, but never too thick. Thanks to the 9.5" radius and Vintage Upgrade frets, this instrument plays buttery smooth without losing any of its vintage feel.
• The Tone: Even when played acoustically, you can tell that only premium tonewoods were selected for this build. Plugged into an amp, it unfolds a fantastic, open tone with a mighty low-end and detailed, bell-like highs. An absolutely organic and dynamic sound that responds sensitively to every attack, with a beautifully balanced frequency response.

The Sobrich Verdict:

Whether you love the iconic tones of SRV, Frusciante, or Hendrix, or you are looking for a guitar with a spectacular color combination and collector potential – it is hard to pass this Strat by. A uncompromising tone machine with addictive potential and the ultimate mojo!
