Mit der „Tomato Soup Burst“ brachte Gibson im Jahr 2016 ein streng limitiertes Sammlerstück auf den Markt, das in Zusammenarbeit mit Bluesrock-Ikone Joe Bonamassa entwickelt wurde.

Dieses auf 150 Exemplare limitierte Modell ist keine Kopie einer bestimmten Vintage-Gitarre, sondern bündelt Joes absolute Lieblings-Spezifikationen für den kompromisslosen Live- und Studio-Einsatz.

Der Name ist Programm: Das tiefrote Burst Finish auf der spektakulären AAA-Riegelahorndecke zieht sofort alle Blicke auf sich.

Technisch vereint diese Les Paul das Beste aus zwei Welten. Das schlanke, schnelle Slim-Taper-Halsprofil der frühen 1960er-Jahre sorgt für eine traumhafte Bespielbarkeit, während die speziell für Joe gewickelten Seymour Duncan Bonamassa-Humbucker einen erdigen, sustainreichen und extrem durchsetzungsstarken Ton liefern.

Sogar die ungleichen Potiknöpfe („Mismatched Knobs“) wurden vom Meister übernommen, um die Regler auf dunklen Bühnen blind erfühlen zu können.

Mit knackigen 4,12 kg bringt diese Paula zudem das perfekte Kampfgewicht für fetten, singenden Les-Paul-Tone ohne Rückenschmerzen mit!

Released in 2016, the Gibson Les Paul Standard "Tomato Soup Burst" is a highly sought-after limited edition, developed in close collaboration with blues-rock icon Joe Bonamassa.

Limited to just 150 instruments worldwide, this model is not a replica of one specific vintage guitar. Instead, it combines Joe's favorite Les Paul specifications into a single instrument built for uncompromising performance on stage and in the studio.

The name says it all: the deep red Tomato Soup Burst finish over the spectacular AAA flamed maple top immediately commands attention.

Technically, this Les Paul brings together the best of both worlds. The slim and fast early '60s Slim Taper neck profile offers effortless playability, while the specially wound Seymour Duncan Bonamassa humbuckers deliver a rich, earthy voice with exceptional sustain and outstanding note definition.

Even the distinctive "Mismatched Knobs" were carried over from Joe's personal guitars, allowing him to identify the controls by feel on dark stages without taking his eyes off the audience.
