Was früher teilweise noch unterschätzt wurde, zählt heute längst zu den etablierten Größen im Boutique-Gitarrenbau: James Trussart steht seit mehreren Jahrzehnten für eigenständige Instrumente mit klarer Handschrift. Wer seine Instrumente einmal anspielt, wird schnell verstehen, warum sie von Ikonen wie Billy Gibbons, Keith Richards, James Hetfield oder sogar Bob Dylan und Eric Clapton geliebt und geschätzt werden!

Once somewhat underestimated, James Trussart has long since established himself as one of the most distinctive boutique builders. For several decades now, his instruments have stood for unmistakable design and a very individual tonal character. Anyone who has played one quickly understands why artists such as Billy Gibbons, Keith Richards, James Hetfield, Bob Dylan or Eric Clapton have all been associated with Trussart guitars.

The striking steel body in the iconic “Rust-O-Matic” finish not only delivers unique visual appeal but also defines the tone: extremely direct response, impressive sustain and a remarkably lively dynamic character. Despite the metal body, the guitar never sounds cold or sterile – quite the opposite. It resonates in a surprisingly organic way, which is exactly what many players appreciate about Trussart instruments.

Equipped with a superb set of Arcane PAF Triple Clone 1959 humbuckers, this Steel DeVille delivers a highly expressive and articulate tone with precise attack, focused mids and clear, well-defined highs.
