2022 Martin Custom Shop Expert D-28 Authentic 1937 • Ambertone Burst • Vintage Low Gloss • Stage 1 Aging • Hand Selected Musikhaus Hermann • 2,06kg

  • Look & Feel: Ikonischer geht‘s kaum.

2022 Martin Custom Shop Expert D-28 Authentic 1937 • Ambertone Burst • Vintage Low Gloss • Stage 1 Aging • Hand Selected Musikhaus Hermann • 2.06kg

The masterful balancing act between historical perfection and modern daily playability.
Historically correct bracing, an authentic 1937 Soft-V neck profile, traditional hot hide glue construction for unhindered resonance, and an ultra-thin Adirondack spruce top for maximum responsiveness: these are just a few key features that will make any acoustic guitar gourmet's heart beat faster. The golden era of guitar building comes alive in every single detail of this Dreadnought!

The Highlights of this Martin:

  • Look & Feel: It doesn't get more iconic than this. The deep "Ambertone Burst" Vintage Low Gloss finish, featuring an authentic lacquer formula combined with subtle "Stage 1 Aging," is simply timelessly beautiful. Finest lacquer checking and minimalist, well-dosed play wear give this instrument the exact aura and haptics of a genuine, perfectly maintained Pre-War Martin.
  • Modern Features: Unlike the 1937 original, this Expert model features a modern, adjustable truss rod to ensure maximum reliability and daily playability. Back and sides are crafted from premium East Indian Rosewood – the perfect tonal alternative to the strictly protected and prohibitively expensive Brazilian Rosewood.
  • The Tone: Absolutely monumental. Powerful, woody basses, punchy mids, and bell-like trebles. Loud and incredibly dynamic, featuring headroom and sustain that literally flood the room.

The Sobrich Conclusion:

Trying to describe this Dreadnought with words simply does not do justice to its acoustic raw power. It is undoubtedly among the very best instruments money can buy from the Martin Custom Shop. Aesthetics, haptics, and above all, the tone are on a level where one can confidently speak of a true "once in a lifetime" guitar.
